What is the Reason?

The earth gives up her children
To feed our burden
The leaves fall for a reason
She’s falling, but when do we rest
Life goes on with the clamor of being
Forgiveness for the pavement that nature calls treason
The leaves fall for a reason
When the human dream turns to human drama
The wind sweeps and the trees collect karma
The pigeons gather to watch Shakespeare in action
The Way is a living lesson in every season
The leaves fall for a reason
Children play infatuated with our mother
As they grow they forget about sister and brother
TV replaces the weather and grass turns to plastic
Our living womb has been renovated into another statistic
Where is the world we learned to dance on
The leaves fall for a reason
